Just pick a 1/4 outputs on the back and route it using totalmix or matrix, its kinda of odd them not having a dedicated monitor volume knob either.

Are you using powered or active monitors? Just drive them or your amp from outputs 1 & 2 at the back, and if they are active, drive them balanced.

yeah i did that but nothing is playing through Media player or other players. I used totalmix and put channel 1+2 on output but still nothing is comming out.

So i downloaded Windows SP2 and the patch from RME website and now the RME isnt even recognised by my computer :( . Heheh bloody hell! I Dont know what to do with this RME thing?

Anyone got any ideas of how to fix my new problem?

well 2 things. 1) i see why you did it to try & fix what wasn't working but be real careful with SP2 it imho screws up a lot including performance in general.

i am pretty sure you are gonna have a hard time going back now. the RME newsgroup is the place for this, and Matthias Carstens is regularly on there helping everybody. what a great company those guys run.

2) i am pretty sure that media player etc are not the pieces of equipment to test the FF on. I run Mac, but it has issues with quicktime, itunes etc, its a piece of pro equipment and needs pro samplerates fired at it. don't get me wrong, it will work with them all when you get the right drivers, firmware etc for you but if there are small issues the consumer programs are the first things that suffer.

i like you had so much trouble with the FF when I bought it I thought it was faulty. but getting a better FW cable, flashing firmware from a PC for some reason, and getting newer drivers, then hard resetting, got it in line and now it is the ultra-reliable backbone to my facility.
