Quick questions... I know that some groups have separate monitor mixers on stage. Just curious, but how do they get the inputs of the FOH board and the monitor board to correspond? Where does the signal split? Would I have to run a cable from every channel from the FOH to the inputs on the Monitor mixer? Or does it go through the monitor board first? Just a little confused...

As Boswell states the MON and FOH positions are two separate mix engineers and positions. The audio lines are normally split at the stage with one trunk going to FOH and a mirrored trunk going to MON position. Sometimes MON is a transformer isolated split but mostly not so that in an emergency the stage and monitors could be run from either position entirely. Sometimes there is a third split going to a recording/broadcast position or truck.
Usually done by microphone splitters.
