Im looking to get sound from my headphones and speakers at the same time on my PC. .. right now it has to be one or the other i can have both pluged in
at the same time and get the same output out of both ... whats up with that?
I'm using a usb headset and 5.1 spks
ive been messing around with drivers and settings but theres nothing ive seen
in any setting that come close to fixing this..

What soundcard are you using? At any rate regardless of what you do with the drivers, you won't be able to make it work. In the headphone jack on your 5.1 speaker system there is a switch that cuts off speaker output as soon as you plug your headphones into it. If you were using a mixer and plugging your speakers into a mixer, it might be a different story.
