lately ive been looking at the firepod/firestudio and everyone says that the spidf clock on the firestudio is SO nice. But i have no clue wut it is. Can anyone help me?

It's S/PDIF, for Sony Phillips Digital Interface Format. When using digital means to communicate data from one unit to another, they must be synchronized, sending and receiving at the same rate. This is not something that is user modifiable.
