I' ve seen both MOTU UA making TB interfaces for both Mac and PC .
I build my own PC's and now I'm curious as both Asus and Gigabyte have mobos whith TB ports : Asus z87 deluxe/dual, Gigabyte GA-z87x-UD7 TH for ex. Anyone here who had built a PC with TB mobos ?
When I compare theese 2 mobos I got the feeling that Asus has a lot of functions that is not needed in a DAW PC .
It would be interessting to hear your opinion .

The Asus board is intended for overclockers, and you do not want to do that on your DAW rig, so you are correct; While a great board, the Asus is overkill for DAW needs.
