Wow, it took me a long time to get back on my feet but I am getting there.
I'm looking at the Apollo X8P to run on my faithful i7 which is still on W7. I will upgrade to W10. Hopefully I can use it.
Anyone know much about running Thunderbolt 3 on a PC? How to interface it best, what card. Maybe I can't even use my current PC box. Just starting research now. :)

i currently use a Focusrite Safire pro 40 interface. My MBP is quite capable; it's a good one. Would I find any significant benefit in sound quality by upgrading to a Focusrite clarett thunderbolt ?

came across this in an ad in my email. I like how the guy describes what the parts do, in sound guy terms. It kinda lends a tonal characteristic to things like resistors, where I'm usually like HUH? This thing looks cool.

Even if you just use the stock plugins, the realtime printing and monitoring facilities seem quite useful. Thought this was interested. Sure Chris is gonna be excited... Not. Lol.
If you've read a few recent posts of mine, I'm really interested in emulation. Apollo 16's would be the perfect product for my next challenge. I need 32 DA's and two Apollo's 16 cascaded would do it! But, there now seems to be a glitch in my method of madness. I'm on PC and prefer MADI for this.
