Just record thin air then wave edit it to look the same.
I know in Audition you can zoom right in and click the little dot which represent each digital point. Anyways, you just drag em up and down until it sounds the same. You only have to manually edit Forty five thousand per second of audio to upsample the quality from the CD your ripping off. Now, seeing as you obviously have a sterling work ethic, and can go non-stop for moments at a time, it shouldn't take too long to do this. Oh, for the record I have no qualms about sampling, I would appreciate those that do it to learn how to write a bibliography of sorts so I know where to look for some interesting tunes.

is that possible in cubase 4.0, i need to know how to sample in cubase 4.0 theres no tutorials on it

Ignore Greener. He's just having a little fun and if you were to try what he's explaining, it would take you years to complete 1 minute of music.

There is no magical software that Timbaland is using. What he is doing is when he finds a sample he likes, instead of using the sample, he recreates it from scratch. If the sample was a drum loop, instead of using that drum loop, he'll recreate it, programming his own drums. If the sample was a trumpet riff, instead of sampling that, he will find a trumpet sound he likes and play it.

So, if you want to be like Timbaland, and there are samples that you like, what you need to do is recreate what you hear in the samples using instruments or synthesizers/plug-ins or samplers.

Now, about your question regarding sampling and Cubase, Cubase is a Digital Audio Workstation and not actually a sampler. Kontakt and Halion are samplers. If you want to sample, get one of those.

Having said that, at it's basic roots, sampling is nothing more than taking a piece of audio and playing it back. That can be done very easily within Cubase working with just about any audio. The difference between using Cubase and a purpose built sampler like Kontakt is in the tools that are used. If you want to sample, you really should get a sampler. If you want to recreate samples like Timbaland does, you can just use VSTi's or plug-ins or synths to create your own version of the samples that you want. Of course, once recorded into Cubase, it would be much easier to take the recordings into a sampler like Kontakt and then use them appropriately.

I am currently using fl studio 8 xxl which i got for free from a download source (its the full version) I might post it on here but i don't know how lol

anyway u've totally cleared the air for me I know exactly what ur saying basically timbo just reproduces from his own miko set the exact same sounds but even better quality-wise I don't think i will be able to do that, but in a couple of years maybe (with the right equipment)

I know it's not the trial version, but give me a definition of cracked software, is there a difference between the cracked version and original apart from it's illegal?
