(sorry if you've seen this in tthe budget gear forum but I think it should be in here)

Hi I'm currently using a Tascam US-122 into my laptop to record guitars & vocals via a Tech 21 Sansamp GT2 and a Shure SM57.

I'd like to upgrade my interface/soundcard and am looking for your thoughts. Bear in mind that as I'll be continuing to use a laptop so it must connect via firewire or USB rather than slotting into the motherboard.

I'll predominantly be recording a single instrument at a time so wouldn't require more than stereo/two channels.

Budget is in the range of about £150 - £250 (around $250-$450 US) but (as always with a hobby) it is negotiable. Thumbs Up.
