I am wondering if anyone here has actually used one, the proce doesn't seem too bad.
I was looking at getting a pair of ELi Distressors, but if I went this route I could afford there vmp-2000e as well.
For what it's worth,
I don't do much acoustic/live recording.
I deal mostly with HipHop/Electronic music.
That means lots of sampling, looping, vinyl, drum machines, etc...
Some vocals too.
Just curious if Sebatron s machines might fit the bill...
I like coloration & like to hear the box, so if these units can sound heavy, I might go for it.
Thanks for your comments.

So can your VEQC unit really give drums (drum loops/samples) that big smashed sound?
Like say that of an old funk 45, or say something like Malcom Catto, Poets of Rythym, etc...
The compression that makes the drums sound all big & nasty.
I tend to overuse it & abuse it.
So the nastier & louder, the better...

Yes , not a problem Jg.
The new design for the veqc-2000 features feed-back type compression which is a lot more coloured than the earlier issues of the unit. YEAH , you can squash the shit out of something if you want .
Headroom and Transient detail have also improved via careful stacking of the gain stages. What gets me about this unit is the way it can dynamically and sonically enhance any material passing through it….even with little effect.
Actually can you PM me Jg or go to my website and email me ,
I’m having trouble putting up files here…
Once I work it out , I’ll probably put them up all the time though.

Jg…have you heard of “The Avalanches”?
They received some record of the year award with their album..’…since I left you…’.
I sold them their first samplers and told them how to use them.
If you can locate their E.P ‘ El producto ‘.I worked on that.
The veqc-2000 was used extensively throughout that record.
As a processor and as a tracking compressor/E.Q.
They actually mention me in one of their songs on the E.P….
‘..production of the Sebatron is leaking like a power station….’.
Third track I think. :D
….shut up Seb….get back to work……. :s:
