I am still deciding if i need 2 hard-drives? I know it's recommened but the only Audio I will be recording is Vocals. All the other music will be done through vst plugins
(atmoshphere,trilogy,fm7,battery) in Cubase sx. Would having 2 hard drives boost performance if this is the case?
If so, should I store all my soft synth's and their patches under the audio drive and just install the OS and Cubase sx on the main drive? Where exactly should install my plugins? Any imput would be greatly appreciated!

Well, audio is better off on a second drive due to data pull performance.

When the OS, application and VST's are being used the audio data doesn't have as much priority. So it's best to give it a drive of it's own to live on.

Especially if you are going to do mutliple vocal takes and do some comping and effects on it!
