Hi folks, I need some help.
My A4Tech wireless mouse is not working in my P4T-E mobo. I'm running Win 2k with SP2 but I have other computers with different mobos with the same OS and it works fine.
Here is what happens with the P4T-E machine:
I plug the mouse, restart the computer and all the mice devices disappear in the device manager.
No mouse at all. Is it a mobo bug/ Should I update bios? One thing I notice in the boot up screen is something like 'Bios data update incorrect' written. Don't know if it relates to it.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Wow...member #1829 and this is your first post? Silent guy arent ya?! lol...just kidding
Bios update incorrect? Hmmm? Did you try flashing your BIOS at some point? If so it didnt go properly...if not try flashing it and see if that helps..Asus has instructions on their site on how to do that if need be.
Other things to try is to set the BIOS to the default settings..
If the driver doesnt load then what could be happening is that you have an IRQ conlfict which is causing that to happen..something similar happened to me when I tried putting two RME 9652 cards in a system and the video card driver wouldnt load anymore..turns out you have to put the two cards in slots that have IRQ sharing! Wierd aint it! Anyhue...check out your IRQ's and to be honest...dont use wireless mice or keyboards..they're more trouble that they are worth

Ted...not quite
Just because it appears fine doesnt mean there isnt a conflict..the device manager will tell you the deivce is loaded properly..not all the times will it show a conflict..
You need to actually look at the list of IRQ's to determine that indeed it's on it's own IRQ and not sharing with another device
