So I've been recording these two fellows for awhile and was wanting some advice. I have been using Audacity, with a Tascam US-144 and a RODE SM6 mic, shock mount, and RODE pop filter. The vocalist tends to be a harsh, loud, real into it kinda guy and I'm not sure what effects/compressions to use. I'm very new to recording and just went out and spent a ton on the Tascam device and mic set up. So if you have ANY advice it would be much appreciated. Also I currently have about 90$ to spare right now if you would HIGHLY recommend me getting something else to GREATLY increase the quality (I'm only 17, so i can't blow all my paychecks.) Once again any advice is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks a ton!
