Hello,

after 5 years I will eventually replace my Macbook Pro 2,2 GHz.

I'm considering following models:

- iMac 27" 3,4 GHz i7 (with Belkin Thunderbolt Hub for external drives and peripherals) - 2.100 Euros + 200 -300 for the hub

- Mac Pro 3,2 Quad Core Xeon - 2.600 Euros + a second monitor (150 Euros)

- wait for the new iMac coming sometime between september 2012 and mid 2013 (I'm very impatient...) - ?

- I could have a used Mac Pro (almost 2 years old) for 2.000 Euros:
Mac Pro 3,33GHz 6 Core Westmere EP ( Model 5.1 )
12GB RAM
2 graphics cards: NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 and AMD Radeon 6870 1024MB
1x 2.0 TB HD
e-Sata PCI-e controller card

I'm working with Logic 9, a Focusrite Saffire 24 Pro DSP firewire interface.
My projects tend to get quite big (60+ audio and virtual instrument tracks) with many buses and plugins and I want the new one to last another 4-5 years.

My budget is around 2.000 - 2.500 Euros (the new Mac Pro is around 2.600 which is also okay)
What would you recommend for best performance, expandability and longevity?

Thanks!
