I am a guitar player, I am interested in creating my own songs in the style of GunsNRoses, AeroSmith,Stones,BlackCrowes, Skynyrd. How can Sonar help me. I play guitar, a little keyboard.
Can Cyclone, dreamstation or any of the Synths included help me? Can they make good rock drum tracks? How about bass, can any of the synths in Sonar produce a respectable Rock bass, think Lenny Kravitz, Are You Gonna Go My Way"
If this is not the Place I need to be, can you think of a website that can help me?

yo tundrkys: yes you can get the same results using sonar IF you use the same instruments those bands used. Reason being, the only reason why the groups sounded the way they did was not just due to the fact of how they played but what they were playing. so if they used a fender, use the same exact fender. and the best way to achieve this is to go in all audio, not midi, especially when dealing with strings. the reason is because strings are very hard to replicate and the best way to get that bass and drums you really want with out having to take the time to tweak out the software is to just simply buy a good sound module such as the roland 5080. i think the sounds from it are the closest thing to the real instruments. but as far as the included software goes... yes you can with alittle patience to tweak it out just how you want it. hope that helps. later
