I want to use the Nord Stage 2 to control plugins (mostly from Logic and the Komplete 7 collection running from my ext. harddrive), and the iPad to control parameters on the Mac. Ex - I'm holding a pad sound on my Nord Stage, while playing with a filter on the iPad, affecting the pad.

I was under the impression that touch OSC operates over wi-fi no connections needed.

You can substitute one of these for the Hard drive and hub. Not sure how old your NORD is but the current ones have USB compliant connection (no drivers needed ) so the midi interface would not be needed.

And if you want to take this setup to the stage you will need something more substantial than near-field monitors.
