Hi, I'm new to these forums and recording. I wanted to see if any of you guys concur with my hypothesis on a problem I'm having with my monitors.
Recording (live or studio)
Hello:
I'm a new-user newb, hopefully this topic hasn't surfaced as of late . . .
I'm checking out DAW controllers, and the Tascam FW 1884 looks nice, with the MIDI/Surround mixing/Preamps, etc.
First off, does anybody use it and like it?
Second, I'm running both Ableton Live 6 and Adobe Audition 1.5. Anybody know if FW 1884 works with these programs?
This is what Windows XP is telling me every time I try to access my audio drive: "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable". Is there anything I can do, or am I screwed?
i want to record electric guitar tracks for my song - no Micing i.e direct recording through vamp or other effects processors. i m going to get a MOTU ultra lite.
so i want to know that after i install that card what would i have to configure to make it work with my recording software (Sonar 6 producer).
I have wanted to get more work as now I have the time. I am a voice over guy (artist) -- I image radio stations, commercial production for local and national business, and so on...
Question? Are voice123 and a hand full of other websites just like it, worth paying close to 200.00 for their services to find you voice work?
I currently record everything using my BOSS Br-864 system... at least for the past 3 years. Along with a few scattered dynamics and condensers and a nice pair of Sony studio phones. I also use Adobe Audition 1.5 for all editing purposes.
hello everybody!
i was told that i'd better use compressor for Overheads when recording drum kit?
what do think of that?
regards
Villy
Hey, I'm looking to start a home studio(garage setting) where I can record music in(duh). More specifically, I'll be recording a mix of metal/folk/jazz music, and I need to know what I'll need. If it helps, I want to try to record everything with only one microphone. I'll be recording drums, bass, and guitar. What should I buy to get started?
Hello!
If one was to dedicate a laptop completely to (primarily) audio and (some) video editing, which is more condusive? Windows or Mac? I am going to be recording live music, running loops, creating beats, etc., and also editing a lot of pictures and some video.
Would a Mac be preferred for this? If so, why? If not, why not?
Thanks in advance for any input.
Hi, i was wondering how producers/engineers get their jobs at record labels. Are they "discovered" like bands and hired to work for them? Any information you can tell me about this would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
