I'm recording a heavy rock band live in a rehearsal hall. We only have it for alimited amount of time this Saturday. It's going to be a 12 song live work tape. The band's real tight so that's going to make it real eazy. But the drummer is a real cymbal basher. This is going to be a frist for me,(recording a extremely hard playing drummer) .
Recording (live or studio)
It seems like I must be missing something really obvious here, but I can't figure it out. How do I record audio from one of the sound generators in Reaktor (like Skrewell or Spacedrone) into Cubase? I've tried it both as a VST and an effect on an audio track. .
Is it something with routing?
Thanks.
Hello all,
I have an Echo Layla 20 with 8 1/4" ins and outs including a L/R monitor outs. How would I go about playing something back I recorded and record with it without bleeding the live sound back into the recording.
Thanks.
This one intrigued me as I just came across it.

The "ACPI or Standard Mode?" got me. It seems like a pain in the butt to do, having to reinstall all my drivers.
But is it worth it? Does anyone know about this?
So I've been mixing my bands various demos for about a year now and had been mixing on a pair of klipsch computer speakers before I actually got into this stuff, now a pair of KRK V6s.
Whats up I was wondering if putting two enclosed 12" woofers made for car audio in the studio would work. Would it be effective?
Hi.
I just finished a 14 track CD.
I used a few drum loops from unknown sources. I got most of my samples from friends and Libraries.
I just wanted to know if I wanted to have that CD pressed as a demo, Would I have to find the sources of this drum loops? or what would be the way to go with copyright?
Thanks,
ISh
I just got a Fireface 400. I want to get a not too expensive laptop that works well without any (chipset or other) compatability problems. Please tell me what U R using and also what doesnt work well. (Also please include if it will be necc. To get a dedicated Firewire 400adapter, to plug into PCMIA card.)

why do i lose gain when i use a balanced patch cord from my rack synth to my patchbay? if i use an unbalanced patch cable in replace of the balanced patch cable i dont have to use the gain knob on my mixers line input. if i use the balanced patch cable i have to crank the gain and then i hear a buzzing noise.i thought that i should be using balanced patch cables rite?
