Hi, I'm very interested in getting the Apogee 96k mic to use when using my new 128 g iPad mini, however I would like to know what other options are out there that may work for me.
An interesting read on 96k vs 44.1k sample rates and up sampling.
Hi guys,
Just upgraded my studio with a brand new Focurite liquid Saffire 56 and an Octopre MkII.
With every changes to my gear, I try to better myself. I band project is coming soon, they're gonna track in my studio and mix and master at another place. So, I need to export wave files at there best.
I'm buying a new converter and interface for my MixDream hybrid DAW system and a modest attempt in mastering that I call polishing at this point.
I need 16 IO and an interface. The Prism ADA-8RX or less expensive RME are in the running for me.
I'm attempting to connect my Apogeerosetta ad to my mac pro quad via the Toslink
(S/PIDF also called lightpipe) port on the back of the mac. Everything works fine until I choose 96k on the mac audio midi setup. It keeps bouncing back to 48k. Nax and apofee gave no solution.
Except it makes my computer cry and cut its wrists. :D It's so nice though, mixes sound brighter and livelier, and I can actually keep the bass frequencies in and not have to make super heavy cuts all the time just to attain clarity. Sorry this isn't much of a forum topic, but all my old recordings were in 44.1 so I felt I had to share it with you all. LOL
iv been researching a little for expanding my recording set up. iv noticed that on the digimax fs, if i wanted to record at 96k through ADAT i would need two cables, but how would i connect that to a 003? the 003 only has one ADAT in.
i might have this wrong, I'm just curious.
I have a PreSonus DIGIMAX that I would like to run all 8-ADAT inputs into an interface that will accept them at 96k (if at all possible). I also want the interface to have a few of it's own inputs and even a second ADAT input. I have a Sony Vaio PC with Windows XP Media Center and I use Cubase SX3, so it will have to be compatable with all of those.
hi, i've been reading through threads that debate the difference in recording different sample rates and i have a question. i'm a beginner, so i might be in over my head, so forgive me if this is a dumb question (i know, no dumb questions just dump people ).
