Amateur Stage Installation

We're putting in a stage at our small church. We have 2 snakes right now. If we take mics into floor plates and out of floor plates into the snake and the snake into the mixer are we introducing interference problems? A simpler way to put it is how hard should we work to avoid the extra connection (i.e. floor plate directly to mixer)?

Thanks

I am an amateur trying to record some own solo compositions on my acoustic guitar.

I want to ask about this setup:

A M/S couple 100 cm from guitar and a "spot mic" 50 cm from guitar
(in the middle between guitar ans M/S couple).

I record in a corner (facing the corner and M/S 80 cm from corner).

What about phase problems ?

Amateur Recording Cakewalk Question

I am having a small problem with my recording. I'm not a big time recorder. I basically use an adapter straight from my guitar cable to my microphone input, and do all recording through Cakewalk. Anyway, I just got it hooked up again and when I do playback, it's playing it messed up. I sounds almost like it has a tremolo effect to it.

Hi everyone! I'm an amateur brazilian musician, who enjoys prog/rock/metal/instrumental style. I am a REAL beginner and I own a X V-amp, which I plug directly into the line-in of my PC Sound board (which is a lame one, BTW). I use GuitarPro 4 to make drum tracks, because everyone of the drum-composing programs that I tried sucked really hard to me.

Here's my situation everyone. I am a highschool senior and I have a HUGE interest in going to school for recording arts/sciences. The only issues is... umm getting into a school. My SAT scores are high and I have experience mixing for live shows (yes i even did one show for professionals), but most of the time I mix live audio for performance at church.
