Of course I've heard the argument that instead of reaching for pitch correction with a less than desired performance, you should find a better singer who can sing in tune. For me, seeing as that pitch correction is used in almost all "pop" music nowadays. And I focus primarily on recording "pop", melodyne and auto-tune are two core tools of my studio and buisness.
Does anyone know if there is a plugin (VST) that will tune an audio source, not to a specific note, but to the pitch of another audio source? Say if I wanted to match the chorus of another vocalist, and for example: retain their unique vibrato? or match closer their singing style?

I've been considering buying a pitch correction tool for a few years. What are the pro and cons with the current versions available? Which one is more transparent?
OK, I have a Roland VS-1680 which I've learned how to use. I want to try to use autotune for vocals. I know they have a module but it they don't make it anymore and it's too expensive to find.
I'd like to know how exactly I could use a standalone Autotune box with that recorder and if there's one recommended that's worthwhile and can be bought cheaply used.
First of all - what is the difference in auto-tune and auto-tune EVO (same with harmony engine /- evo and so on.. ) ? Is the Evo cutted version or upgrated version?

Can the pitch correct in Cubase 5 do what Autotune basically does. Correct pitch in real time and have selectable scale and individual note selections? Also can the Cubase 5 do the T-pain thing by running correction at 100% (not that i use it but some think it's neat and it's good to do funny things with. Just curious before I get Cubase 5 AND Autotune.
