What are the differences and advantages/disadvantages between these two?

Which one in you guys' opinion is better for a beginner, and gives overall better sound quality.. I'm a beginner, and i've just gotten both programs, yet I haven't experimented yet, so which one program would you say is better and why? I'd appreiciate it.
