It seems that acoustic/electric bass guitars are becoming more common, as most music stores stock a few. How well do these perform in recording, and how do they differ in recording from their solid body counterparts (major advantages/disadvantages)?
I need a good DI for recording an upright Bass
anyone know of a good DI?
Hello to all you acoustic gurus, I'm having a hard time finding a good, solid place for the acoustic bass in my mix. When I listen to the track alone, it sounds relatively healthy, but once it's in the mix, some parts pop out and some just get burried! :(
Would cutting low and add some mid-high help?
Any tips for Micing an acoustic bass...positions, mics etc?
Thanks! have a great day=)

Been doing a bunch of Jazz recordings this year and can never decide whether it's better in the mix to filter the acoustic bass mics below, say, 60-100, because of proximity boom or to leave it, turn down the bass a little and go with that more traditional sound which is less articulate, but fuller.
