U195 vs. . SM7 + AT4047
I have a Country/Gospel gig coming in that I can use as a reason to get a mic or two. They have two female singers and one male. I have not worked with the girls before but have not had really good luck with my existing mics with female singers.

Hello . Just about to put some money on an AT-4047 and would like to know if anyone can suggest an alternate microphone that I may have overlooked,

I recently got one of these and love it! I was wodering about the high pass filter. My songs are usually real sparse (single guitar track, vocal, maybe a mandolin or harmonica) The filter on this guy is very low, and I'm curious if you all use it when tracking...

AT 4047SV modeled after what?
In the specs for the Audio-Technica 4047 SV mike they mention that this particular model was voiced like "the FET mikes" from the 60's amd 70"s. Please pardon my ignorance but just what mikes are they referring to? :confused:
