One guy has a pair of Ultrasone HFI-650s (I think they sound good) and he's recommending Ultrasone Performance 840s (the most expensive of the lot).

I can't seem to find any photos of the microphone in pieces so thought I'd ask on a forum
Do you know where I would solder the wires onto?

I was at the flea market today and I had a lucky encounter with a Beyer M610 mic that was buried under a bunch of electronic junk.
Since they asked 5 eur for it I picked it up without further questions.

What I've found on the net is that this is not a very common moving coil dynamic mic, and if in good shape it goes for about 150$.

I lost a Beyer M130 and 1 of 2 M160's I have owned for several years. It happened in a bizarre way that makes me sick to even think about.

Hi, I just bought a Beyerdynamic m260n (70s version, no filter one); the seller declare it was working properly but when I've plugged (with its own cable and transformer) into my Tascam us-1641, didn't give any signal, or at least any audible one, any of you have experienced the same problems?

I prefer the 160s to the 451, but I don't like either that much for solo piano. I can post examples of my test recordings.
