Anyone used a Biamp 1283?
I may have a chance to pick one up for a decent price and was wondering if they were any good. Any experience?

I was just given a Biamp 2442 Recording Console. I am going to have to get the power supply fixed I think. I was thinking about using it as a summing mixer or for its pres since its got Direct outs on every channel. Or just selling it as is for a few bucks. Its in really good shape i mean almost zero wear even the leather hand rest is in perfect condition.
Hey,
Im thinking about upgrading my DAW system. I want to sell either my Tascam board or the Biamp board that I have. I use both right now. What Im getting at is if anyone has an opinion on what i should sell. Should I get rid of the Tascam or the Biamp or both? Im using an ADAT HD24 and a Tascam 48 half inch machine.
Any opinion would be cool.
Thanks
Hi everyone,
Has anyone test drove these yet? I'm looking to upgrade soon and a friend of mine just purchased a set from GC here in Northern Va about 3 weeks ago. The reason I have'nt bothered him on the performance thing yet is because he's in the middle of renovating his studio (as we speak) and he lives too far for me to get a chance to check them out.
Thanks for your help with that Biamp board afew months ago. Once I figured it out it really grew on me. You were right, it is a really nice sounding board and really quiet too. The preamps are quite smooth and all the mixes I have run through it sound great. We got it for a very good price so it was hard to pass up.
So I have borrowed that Biamp board I was asking about awhile ago. It is the Biamp Legend console with 28 input channels. It dosn't seem to have any aux send jacks on the back, but it does have 4 returns. Can anyone help me figure out the routing on this? Or does anyone have any info on the company history or their older products?
I have been offered a good deal on one and was wondering what you guys think of them?
