I am starting to mix a new track i recorded and want some advice on how to mix and handle FX returns and routing.
I was wondering how to pan FX returns like reverb & delay. I read somewhere that in case of reverb, the wet signal should be panned to the same position as the dry signal. Is this true?
Situation: Mono casette tape of 4 guys talking. Recording was made on cheap tabletop recorder. Two of the four people recorded with inadequate volume.

how do you guys balance and spread the drums on your recordings?
i like to record having the panning give us a bit of the drummer perspective but...
how do you usually balance the overheads?
So I have the SSL boards, parts, and I'm going to start putting it together today, but I have to ask: What's the best way to go about unbalancing the SSL inputs/outputs?
I've read that the length of the material on both sides of a vinyl record should be about the same length so the disk won't be "unbalanced".
Is that true? What exactly does "unbalanced" mean here? I don't see it affecting the rotation around the spindle?

How are you guys or what are you guys using to balance the RNC I/O. I have a tt bay and everything is +4 I was wondering what an easy way to do this would be. I'm looking to get 2 racked from Mercenary. Thanks
Everyone loves the RNC. But everyone dreads using it in its stock unbalanced state when running long cable runs. So that will be my next DIY project: balancing my RNC.
