Title says it all.
I did quite some googling, starting out with finding out which cameras record uncompressed PCM audio. Some do, some don't, so I thought that there should be a way. Since I want to use semi-professional microphones (RODE NT with NT45O capsules) to record my piano playing, the regular 3,5mm microphone jack on a camera is not an option.
hey all I thought I'd share this becasue it's probably very much how we will be communicating on there's forums in a few years. I pulled the trigger on the recolive switch app for $5. As owner of iPhone/pad it's gonna be perfect for my upcoming tutorials and media content starting next year.

I'm still new to all this and want to learn more. I usually connect my Sound Devices 302 mixer into my Sound Devices 722 recorder for field recording during a university film shoot and then we slate it for manual syncing later on. But now I want to try connect my 722 to the camera as well so I will be recording sound into both the camera and 722.
Hey everyone, I got a Panasonic TM-700 for xmas and I really want to get a shotgun mic for it so I can have some solid audio quality to go along with the great video that it takes. I don't know what to look for at all so any help / models to compare would be greatly appreciated!
I recorded a presentation in a large room and was in a hurry. Channel one is the camera shotgun mic (XLR in) and channel two is an XLR in from a mixer attached to talent mics. Presentation was spoken word, no music or singing. Channel two on the camera was set to Mic LEVEL so of course the LINE LEVEL I was given over drove the channel. What do you recommend in Audition to try to correct?
I am contemplating buying a SONY FX1 HiDef 16:9 video camera, because I am getting so many requests for auditions, festivals, concerts, everyone wants DVD output and really top quality output.

I know it sounds bazzare but Im trying to Mic 5.1 to a camcorder for a 5.1 demo.
So my 5.1 is happening in the room. Now I place 2 omni KMs on a stereo bar in an attempt to get a simulated 5.1 response.
Would 1 omni be better?
