I'm setting up a simple recording room. The space available is one small room so it must double as both sound and control room. I was planning on getting some circumaural, closed-back headphones for both monitoring and hearing protection. But I will only get about 20db drop and I want more.

Headphones and Recording- General Question!

Im in the midst of buying some new headphones for my talent. Now usually when the talent is laying down his vocals, he likes to hear the music coming through the headphones really LOUD.. We use Pioneer's HDJ 1000, and i know they area DJ headphone, but when i go to play back the vocals, the sound from the headphones is being picked up by the micorphone..

Am I missing anything?

Ok, so I've been trying to do my homework so I can figure out exactly what to get for my studio. Here's what I've come up with, I'd appreciate it if anyone could look this list over and see if I'm missing anything, and see if they would change anyhting on this list, and why, or if this is a good set up to start with. I've included the links to everything as well for a better descritpion.
