How much does headphone bleed concern you?

A folk group I was mixing months back had an upper freq problem that drove me nuts. After listening for hours, trying to de-ess but at the same time trouble shoot for the sake of "next time they go into the studio!" it will be better than this mess!

Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB interface

Analog Output Impedence is 10 ohms

New to all of this, so I am wondering if I could use these headphones without the need of a seperate headphone amp.

These headphones are the ones I have researched and am trying to decide which one to get for best flat, neutral sound in my price range.

the in ear Monster copper headphones with the Sennheiser IE 8 in ear

headphones? These two contenders I have not been able to seperate

thus far. Does anyone have an opinion? Thanks for any info you could

OK, so I'm learning about the home recording process and on Tuesday I will be doing my first session. I believe I have the recording equipment side of things right. Now, the issue of the listening device comes up. The store I've been buying equipment has lots of different headphone brands and so on. Headphones seem to be the standard for recording purposes. Why? What's wrong with earphones?

Has anyone ever used the Sony MDR-V150 studio headphones for there home studio or pro? It seems like these headphones for the price is very popular so I assume most people like them. I did recently got them for free basically since I had a $20 promo discount from Amazon. Amazon was selling them for $15.35.

In reference to headphones, describes the design of the cup where there is no venting of the audio to the outside. Closed back, circumaural headphone are often used in studios, where "bleed" from the headphone can be picked up by the recording microphone. Closed back headphones minimize this problem.
