New to the community but already found so much helpful info here, now its time to dive into the details...
I am getting back into home recording. My previous experience with this was a Tascam 424 cassette-based setup. So this digital world is truly amazing to me. I record old school analog instruments, except a keyboard (but no midi)
Looking for someone to help clean up a digital recording.
Voices in the recording are very difficult to hear. There are high pitched noises, static and God only knows what else through out the recording.
Which sampling rate do you most commonly use when recording?
Please don't include mix projects which come to you where the SR is set by the client's project/files...
I'm talking about when you begin recording a new project.

I am primarily a musician, however I have been running a "Rock Band" after school program which is a lot of fun. I have a lot of experience with Garageband and I know this doesn't get much credit as a program, but I did a lot of recording on it with my friend in the past and I had results I was happy to listen to and continue to enjoy listening to.
