I recently discovered oneshots.shop and tried some free samples for layering/triggers. Super impressed with how they blended with my source material. I ended up grabbing the Snares + bundle which has some really pro layers.
Anyway - hope it helps someone who needs to fill up their sample collection.
This arrived in my inbox today and I thought it would be worth sharing with anyone else who uses Studio One.
There are a few different ways to go about sampling drums in SO, but this is a simple and concise way using SOs' native Impact sampler and native Gate plugin as a trigger.
The same principle would apply to any DAW platform. YMMV.

Okay, so I'm posting this to find out what techniques people use when using MIDI drum samples for a beat. I'm new to this idea and am uncomfortable with it. I know I'm not going to get a sound that's as "open" as an acoustic drum set.

Hey. I've recently been getting more and more into electronic music (electronica?) and I want to take a shot and blending it together with the traditional style of music I usually do (rock/alternative/acoustic). To be honest I'm really not sure what I'm looking for exactly, but if anyone can sort of point me in the right direction I would appreciate it greatly.
I'm looking for a Ludwig kick drum sample 26x14. I recorded one and am not completely happy with the results of the solo kick mic. If anybody has a single hit of a 26x14 kick drum sample/ludwig, I'd really appreciate it. I bought Addictive Drums, but that didn't work too well.
