slapback echo

Very cool history on Sam Phillips / Elvis' sound and slap back echo. I've always wondered what Ampex 350 was about. 

hi all, I've been trying out a slapback echo on some drum tracks I recorded and frustratingly it's "so near so far"

I've got pretty much the full sound off one overhead mic and it's pretty good in a Charlie Watts kind of style (playing and sound)
