I am looking at getting the digital ADC for my Voicemaster Pro but I'm not sure if the ADC is better than my Digidesign 002R.

Will the ADC improve the sound, value of my VMP or should I save up for a Sebatron /Avalon?

I am using the VMP in a live situation on my gigs. You can set it up with the compressor being pre or post EQ and the Vintage harmonics being pre or post compressor. It gets a bit confusing as to what the best signal chain would be for best results. Would it be best to have the
COMP-VC-EQ. or
VC-COMP-EQ or
VC-EQ-COMP.?

I'm considering to upgrade my mic preamp and i would like to know if the Focusrite Voicemaster Pro is any good for the money and how it performs in general. Or what other alternatives would you suggest in the same price range.

Is it possible to use this for mixing and how? Or do I have to use it in my recording line?

I was hoping to record my vocals in pro tools and send my recorded track to the FVP and record the " enhanced" vocal back in pro tools.

Im currently using a K2 and the Focusrite voicemaster pro + MOTU 828 mk2 for my male vocal takes... and I've been playing around with the voicemasters compressor... mostly getting good results!

What is the opinion of the pre in the Voicemaster Pro? I know this is a channel strip w/ other processing, but I'm interested in pros and cons of the pre section. Does it even touch what the Great Rivers and Universal Audio pres can do? I don't mind spending $1K for a single channel of pre, but if I can get close to that quality for half of that (and get comp.
