Foldback
"Foldback" is a term used in England to describe the mix that is being sent to the monitor speakers in the control room. However, it can also apply to the headphone mix that is being generated for the musicians.
System for feeding one or more separate mixes to the performers for use while recording and overdubbing. Also known as a Cue mix.

EQ for front of house and foldback
bit new to live mixing so any help here would be appreciated...i have a 2 channel 31 band EQ and all of my front of house is in mono. Can I use channel A on my EQ for my front of house and use channel B for my foldback (monitors)? Will it work? Is it stupid? Is there any reason why I have to use both channels for front of house?

Foldback for O2R96
I work in the recording studio of a medium size record label in Kolkata, India. We are in the process of changing our entire studio recording equipment. We will be using the O2R96 with Nuendo (MOTU interface).
I'm still very much on the learning curve as far as Nuendo and O2R96 are concerned. I have a specific problem and I hope someone can help me.

DAW: multitrack w/ foldbacks?
Greeetings! In a nut shell, I'm putting together a DAW (who isn't?) and my question concerns signal flow and system config. I want to be able to track up to 16 tracks live and avail of myself the ability to foldback monitor sends to the studio (ideally 6, 4 min.). I realize I will probably need two A/Ds to get the 16 tracks (or maybe an Apogee A/D 16 and an D/A 16?).
