Hey whats up guys,
Ok here's the deal. I'm looking to improve my vocal chain (as usual, it's a sickness!) I'm working with an Audio-Technica 4060 into an ISA 428, to RME ADI-8 for conversion.

Hi all
I have to admit that when this forum started, I expected to find a lot of people using GML preamps, but that hasn't been the case.
I'd like some, but after my most recent splurges, I won't be getting them any time soon.

Anyone have any thoughts on these?

Just wondering why the GML mic preamps go almost un-talked about on this forum? I cant seem to find out much about them on the net either. whats up with that? is anybody using them for a specific application? (i.e...API is known for being a great drum pre)... anybody"in the know" have a coment on the things? . .

hi guys!

i'm currently trying out the new GML 2030 master-comp.

being a Manley user the whole thing about the three types of detectors is a bit confusing.

do any of you have hands-on experience with GML?

any real-life advice about how to get the most out of it?

GML 8802 op amps

Hi all,

I was rummaging around in my cellar and I found a couple of GML 8802 discrete op amps. Apparently this stuff grows down there. Anybody know if these are good for audio? I don't know anything about them.

Maselec MEA-2/ GML 9500/ Sontec ..?

I'm planning to order all those who stand above to compare and find out what fits best for me.
But I'm curius to find you what you like best?
I know that Joe Lambert uses the Maselec, has he tried the others? what was it that made him choose the Maselec over the others?

GML 8900

What's up with the 8900? It costs way more than most stereo compressors especially if you add in the cost of the power supply. Is five grand worth it? I could buy a buttload (well a 1176 and a Manley box) for that much moolah.
