Recording of a folk/gospel cover
A preface: I am a complete and absolute amateur in every way. This is my first real attempt at recording my vocals and guitar. I used a http://www.samsonte… Samson CO1U condenser microphone for the vocals and guitar, then edited them in Adobe Audition CS6.
I am looking for any specifics tips you can give me on the recording and editing process.

Country/Gospel sesion Drum questions
OK so I am completely lost with this gig. They are a gospel group and the music is very much 80's country. I am a blues guy and these sounds are not what I am used to getting. The durms are big everything. Big toms, Big kick, Big snare and what I do normally is just 4-5 mics. I know to use my ears and work with what I have but I'd like some input to help point me in the right direction.

Bass Guitar for southern gospel music
I need some advice on what to listen for when mixing Bass Guitar for southern gospel music. All the parts are locked very tight with the kick drum. Bouncy low end has been a struggle for me. I guess I am asking for some starting points but more importantly why something is a starting point. in other words, what part of the bass sound bounces with the kick drum?
