Recording a guitar into a mixer via an Acoustic Image Clarus preamp out, and out to a video camera. The problem is that the guitarist often adjusts his volume during playing, and that can mess up my signal level going into the camera. Other situation is when he plays chord melody, the signal is pretty weak.

What the best stool you've used for playing acoustic guitar?

  • One that isn't squeaky, noisy and well padded?
  • Would you choose 24 inch or 30 inch?

That being said, I was looking at the Taylor and Gibson stools. Gibson' s have sore butt reviews. There is nothing on the Taylor's but they look more comfortable.

I was out at a show the other night and saw a guitarist use a little device which I've seen before but don't know the name of and would like to implement it in a couple of my songs. It's something which you hold over the fret and maybe lightly press down and it sort of slowly draws out that note. It looks like it is slowly vibrating on it to create a very high attack gradual fade in note.
