Here's what we're considering:
A mixing studio running Logic Pro 8 on a Mac Pro Quad 4.
2 Aurora 16's. All channels will be running into a 32 channel Toft board for mixing. (we regularly run 30+ channels.)

This might be a stupid question, but still...

I am using Cubase 4 on a PC. At the moment I`m using a MOTU mkII soundcard but I want to upgrade to a Lynx Aurora16.

So I`m wondering.. How do you connect it to the computer?

I need eight more IOs for my PT HD rig. I currently have a Digidesign 192 that is connected to a Dangerous 2-Bus summing mixer. The summing mixer has eight additional inputs that I would like to utilize. I'm wandering if I should go for another 192, or go with Apogee, or Lynx Aurora. The top of my budget is around $3300.

Well, I did it - I took the plunge. My Aurora 8 arrived Friday and I'm itching to use it.

I have a classical guitarist coming by to work on an existing project this next weekend. I've requested that he bring his instrument and I'll see what we can track and use for demos. (Though, it will be in my home and the acoustics will be a tad limited.)

I need to decide whether I should go with the Lynx Aurora 16 or RME ADI-8-DS. Has anyone heard about the quality of the converters in the Lynx? The Lynx would be muchmore affordable for me but I want to make sure that I am getting top quality conversion at a good price. Can't afford rosettas or a couple of RME's
Thank you!
