M-audio Buddy preamp and the audiophile 2496

How would I hook up the M-Audio Buddy to my Audiophile 2496 sound card to get the best quality. And also which would be better, The Audio Buddy with the Shure SM58 or the Audio Buddy with the MXL 990?

well.. our band needs a method of recording.. and someone offered us a M-audio buddy for about 1/3 the normal price.. so we are all psyched..

but then.. we realized..

how do we connect it to the laptop? no wires were given

What are the differences besides looks of these 2 inexpensive preamps ? Are they basically the same preamps or is the DMP3

worth the extra dollars over the Audio Buddy?
