I have a Mackie 1604 I use as a monitoring setup, and a glorified patchbay with my Digi003 & PreSonus Digi FS, since latency is introduced I have the players through the Mackie for monitoring, and I also will route recorded tracks back to the Mackie for external effects and a tube Preamp.

Hi, been out of the music game for around 10 years and i am slowly unpacking my gear in order to start recording again. I have recently acquired a TC finaliser Plus and i am confused to which cables i required to connected this into my setup.

I am thinking of hooking this up as follows; Mackie - control room out - finalizer in - finalizer out - studio amp - monitors.

I have a M audio fast track pro USB interface. Please help and thank you.

What do you think? Should I buy a Mackie 1604 VLZ pro for $599.00 or the new Mackie 1642-VLZ3 for $599.00. I realize the "pro" has more inputs but I have heard complaints about the "ribbons" coming loose. I have been looking for reviews on the 1642 but can't find any. I am looking for a good mixer with 8 direct outs to use with my firepod. What do you suggest? Thanks! :?

I'm looking to get my first mixing board. I have found two of them that I am very interested in. The Mackie CR1604 vlz and the Soundcraft Spirit M8. I found pretty good deals on both and would love to hear some opinions on them before I purchase. I make electronic music (techno/house/hip hop /etc..).

I read a lots about the Mackie 1604, 24-4 event the 24-8.A lots people just use it for monitoring and don't use the EQ.A lots my friend sellin their 24 or 16 Mixer cuz they just for monitoring not recording and Mixing.

I'm new to this today and I'm also a newbee in digital recording. Please forgive my ignorance but I guess I have to start somewhere! Can I send from either the direct outs, sub sends or aux sends of my Mackie to the q10 1/4" inputs? Will I run into a problem with using the mic preamps on the mixer and putting the signal into the preamps of the Aardvark Q10? Thanks very much
