Good? Bad? Do you know of something that you believe to be better? I'll be renting a pair here shortly so I'll be seeing for myself, but was just curious to hear of others experiances.

I found a Melbourn 24*4*2 discrete with 3119eq's and 2 send for $30,000. Again, i've got the PT3 rig and a VOxBox and that's it. The question is, would I be stupid to get the Neve over the mini Sony console and a decent mic collection? I do not run a public studio so clients aren't the issue. I do some TV music and write/record for my band.

I have a PT mix3 and dearly need a console. I like the idea of Neve. I''ve used the VR legend and enjoyed its company but the size or price. I've seen the baby V but have not heard it. I love the fact it has comp/Gate on every channel. There is one for $18,ooo 24 I/O 8 grp. It makes sens to me, how about you?>

G'day folks. Up straight - I like Neve and Focusrite stuff (although I haven't tried any of the platinum range).

ok, so I'm thinking bout getting a little Neve 5432 sidecar with 8 channels of 34128 pre's.
anyone have any extensive experience with these sidecars? or do you have any specific insights on the 34128 pre itself? right off the bat I know I will have to get an ELCO multi-pin cable made in order to get direct outs on each channel.

I haven't used a Neve 1073, but many claI'm there's magic in this combination of Neve preamp and eq.

Not wanting to spend the $$$'s for the 1073, but having a Neve 1272 and some open slots in a API rack, I was wondering if the combination of a Neve 1272 + API eq (550, 553, 554 type) would approach the "magic" of the Neve 1073?

I'd gotten an offer to buy an old piece of gear off from a estate sale. It is a Neve PSM 12x2.
Can any of you tell me about this board and what kind of Pre does it has. The guy bought the whole lot know nothing about audio and neither do I ...that much about Neve stuff.
