OK, I just (using Toast 3.5.6) burned another Demo disk (from masters created in PTLE) just as I always do but, this time something strange happened. I usually take a listen to the new CD by playing it on the internal CD Rom drive of my G4/400 using the Apple CD Audio Player app.
I recently got a nice new IBM 40-gig hardrive for my Dell 550 and am loving having all this space, beautiful storage space. Problem is since intalling it, my system has developed some tics. Most notiably, my CD burner can't make a clean burn any more. While this may be coincidence, the timing leads me to believe it isn't.
protalkers;
When playing back any number of Logic Audio Mac audio tracks,
arrange page activity on unrelated audio tracks, ie;
muting tracks and/or moving audio, results in a audio playback drop out - all audio - lasting about 2 seconds.
This does happen when playing through the Mac-av outs, and does
happen in the Pro Tools 5.01 application.
(hope this is an appropriate place for my query... if not please advise!)
Odd...I had a warning come up that says I have a missing extension (funny, it doesn't LOOK any shorter).
Help if you can please. I have a ton of different music and recording programs, each of which seems to add codecs into the list in the control panel.
HI,
Currently in the strange situation of having a complete 8 track analog studio without the 8 track. (it left with its owner). Until I buy my own this summer, I'm having a blast doing the "live to 2 track" thing. Talk about a learning experience! Mostly basic rock stuff: trio with a singer or two guitar, Beatles-like lineup. When recording with 6 to 8 mics to two track, there's no problem.
