How does this tier system effect you and how do you get promoted?
hey all just thinking of some new ways to promote the studio when it's done getting prettied up. I was thinking of doing a series of live shows. book 12 bands, and once a month do a live show production, w/ video. thinking maybe sell 30-50 tickets, and try to catch some touring acts, and local bands.

So I'm nearly finished with the last 2 tracks of my album, the others are already mastered and ready to go. Tomorrow night I hope to finish, then probably by Tuesday/Wednesday I'll have 2 redbook ready CD's in hand.

I have a single that I'm trying to push to radio. A lot of people like it and I have a lot of radio promoters calling me. I feel like they are just out to get my money. Does anybody know anything about Loggins Radio promotion? How do I know who to work with?
I wanted some opinions on what people think about this...
Okay, so when I see people post commercial-type things for their music in these forums, everybody flips, "AHHHHH he's trying to sell something. BAD!"

Well, once again, my band has failed to be granted a showcase at this years SXSW - more a matter of us being locals than sucking.
So, we're thinking of ways to make our presence known; possibly the 'gig on a flatbed in a prominent place' idea, and I was hoping some of you might have some other thoughts.
