Wow, it took me a long time to get back on my feet but I am getting there.

I'm looking at the Apollo X8P to run on my faithful i7 which is still on W7. I will upgrade to W10. Hopefully I can use it.
Anyone know much about running Thunderbolt 3 on a PC? How to interface it best, what card. Maybe I can't even use my current PC box. Just starting research now. :)

Hey I'm looking to pull the trigger on some conversion for my living room setup. A couple high quality channels fits the needs, and around 1k is the most I'm looking to put into this one. I'm basically gonna track ideas via an eleven rack, and archive all my old stuff with this setup getting it ready for the new custom computer and 384k+ capable conversion.

Hey I've been endlessly searching for quite some time thru a plethora of interfaces and converters and various connection options. I'm building a decent daw PC so I'm limited in PCIe slots and need to be judicious to make sure I've got my bases covered. I'm making the jump to 384k next year when mytek releases its updated version of the 8x192. This will be my 'flagship' converter.

If you were wondering about PCI Express (PCIe) 3.0 -

Some slots are longer than others, what this all about?
examples:
PCIe 3.0/2.0 x 16
PCIe 2.0 x 16
PCIe x 2.0 x 1

Hi guys - my first post here, so howdy.

I'm building a DAW - I've been playing guitar for many years, and even using DAWs for quite a few years, always low end with make do hardware. Now I'm in the position to build out a pretty decent spec machine, and I'm looking at audio interfaces.

First time poster, Thanks for any suggestions!

I have been using a MOTU 1224 with a PCI 324 card with Cubase for years in an old Intel P4. It's been working flawless for thousands of hours. Always rock solid! I also own an 896HD (Firewire) that I used near the end of this CPU's life. Also solid and dependable. Know issues whatsoever.
