Nagra III recording Q
Hi all,
I just got a Nagra III reel-to-reel recorder. Does this machine have an internal
microphone? Or do I need a plugin mic?
Thanks.

Does anyone know these portable HDD recorders? Apparently these are used in conflict zones like Afghanistan, Irak, Somalia, etc. (... someone told me ...) but I wouldn't bet to much on it. They are in fact nice sounding, highly professional and quite expensive.
I have one of those for repairing on my desk, so here it goes:
Hello!
I've been asked by a non-professional choir to record them...
As i don't wan't to drag my whole studio there, i was thinking of using a simple 2 mics set up (probably M/S) and recording them on my NagraT...
It would allow me to only take an analog mixer, my pair of tannoy, my NagraT, 2 mics (2 U67?), a few cables and stands.
For those interested in the forthcoming Nagra, some preliminary info is on their website, here:

Interesting...
Hi !
First of all, happy new year to all !...
This is my first post here and, i don't know if i have to introduce myself, i'd just say i'm an amateur who wants to make decent quality recordings ;-)...
I've been meaning to ask about Nagra for a while.
Of course DAvid is a user (didn't you post that wonderful piano recording a while back using your Nagra and AMEK 9098?). Sorry if I'm wrong.
On the few occasions I've been in the presence of Nagra gear I've been gob-smacked.
