Description
Nagra is a brand of portable audio recorders produced from 1951 in Switzerland. Beginning in 1997 a range of high-end equipment aimed at the audiophile community was introduced, and Nagra expanded the company’s product lines into a new marketplace. Originally a product of the Kudelski Group, Nagra recorders are now developed, produced and sold by independently-owned company Audio Technology Switzerland S.A., based in Romanel-sur-Lausanne.

Does anyone know these portable HDD recorders? Apparently these are used in conflict zones like Afghanistan, Irak, Somalia, etc. (... someone told me ...) but I wouldn't bet to much on it. They are in fact nice sounding, highly professional and quite expensive.

I have one of those for repairing on my desk, so here it goes:

Choir on NagraT?

Hello!

I've been asked by a non-professional choir to record them...

As i don't wan't to drag my whole studio there, i was thinking of using a simple 2 mics set up (probably M/S) and recording them on my NagraT...

It would allow me to only take an analog mixer, my pair of tannoy, my NagraT, 2 mics (2 U67?), a few cables and stands.

I've been meaning to ask about Nagra for a while.

Of course DAvid is a user (didn't you post that wonderful piano recording a while back using your Nagra and AMEK 9098?). Sorry if I'm wrong.

On the few occasions I've been in the presence of Nagra gear I've been gob-smacked.
