rme adi 8

Hello there,

I've just got an HD24 (stock version, non-XR) and thinking about adding some external converters for at least 8 tracks.

My current setup is the following one :

SOLD

RME ADI-8 QS $1200 USD each.

Beautiful converters that are top on my list. Choice for hybrid. These have the lowest latency I know. Combined with the RME PCIe AES 32, they are stellar.

Has anyone done a comparison between these two units? The ADI-8 QS AD/DA Converter looks fuller in features but how does it sound in comparison to the Aurora 8?

I have the RME ADI-8 PRO, didnt test any other AD/DA.

But i'm thinking to buy other AD, a better than RME ADI-8 PRO

what you think of Apogee ROSETTA ?

Hi I just purchased this unit used and it doesn't seem to be working properly. The person I bought it from said they would take it back so thats not the problem. The problem is that I can't get a digital signal into or out of the adc. The ADAT optical seems to be broken. I should note that at no time has there ever been light coming out of the toslink cable.

Someone who has tried both can tell me which to pick? I'm recording loud rock music most of the time.
Or just give me opinionson each!
