Hey gang !
I did a test this morning.. I was wondering how different were the converters in my fireface 800 and my UA 4-710 (going to the RME with ADAT)
Hi guys !
Like some already know I have some troubles with my interface and I'm checking to change it
I was to wait for the new PreSonus studio 192 but I just saw an add for a FF800 at 1k, seems to be clean.
IS the 800 worth it even after all those years or should I go for the PreSonus.. ?
Looking to get some help regarding my setup. I currently have an HD24XR, the digital outs are connected to the digital ins of the RME and so are the Ins. Total Mix controls the RME. I want to be able to record onto the hd24. When its full. transfer the tracks to reaper and mix.
Issues I have.
This is a problem I've been troublesooting for some time.
I'm trying to get sends that contain stereo mixes.
Sometimes the clients get one ear, which can be remedied by plugging any balanced cable in part-way. But it's not stereo.
There's been a host of other issues, most of which I've solved.
I did this last year, just after I started realizing how important the ADDA quality is. With practice I plan on getting better at comparisons and admit I've learned so much more since this and have so much more to go.
Just curious if anyone has done the comparison between the sound quality of Pro Tools HD converters and a RME FireFace 800?
Well, for the second time in less than a year, my FF800 took a dump on me.
What's wrong? The red "Host" light never extinguishes, and the computer cannot recognize the unit. Effectively rendering it DEAD.
The first time it happened, the retailer replaced my B-stock unit w/ a new one, minus the upcharge. That was nice, minus the 2 week turnaround.
