New and bigger studio : one room to rule them all or two room (control + live)?
Ok!
I'm currently in my basement to record my own music - solely my own music - for now and the foreseable future.
home studio room acoustics – is this a good idea?
My wife and I are moving into a new house. In the basement there's a spare room, that I want to turn into my new home studio.
Room size is approx. 236 sq ft/22 qm and 7.5 ft/2.27 m high.
Using room acoustics/eq to increase headroom on passive mains (urei 813c's)
i was talking to a dude about these speakers the urei 813c's.
(<--- that's actually just an 813, the c's have JBL drivers, but close enough to get the point)
Room Acoustics, (sound treatment)
Hi there. I am looking for a way to make the room I record in, as sound proofed, "treated" as possible, for as cheap as possible.

Recording vocals in bedroom?
I do this all in my bedroom at home... I am not looking for a professional result, but anything that could cut down on picking up extra room noise. Hang up blankets? Sing in a corner? I appreciate any help. I use a RODE Nt2-a if that makes any difference, and it goes in through my firepod. Thanks!

Room acoustics, instrument placement and mic placement.
Hello,
I'm going to record some jazz stuff(hard bop, ala Horace Silver and Bill Evans).
I have Old German Baby Grand Piano(in good condition).
Bass player with 3/4 size double bass(standard)
Drummer with 4 piece kit and 4 trad. jazz cymbals (ride, crash, hihats and splash)
recording room acoustics
Our recording room has two straight walls and one curved wall joining the other two. One of the straight walls and the curved wall is of rock, while the other straight wall is mainly glass doors and windows.

Hi, I once heard of a guy how designed his room acoustics, in which all of the absOrban t material was in the ceiling, and one of the walls was covered with stone blocks for diffusion, I rehearsed there twice and it sounds great but i've never tried ir for recording, what do you guys think?
