Total newbie - Need to send 2 mic signals to 1 mixer channel
Hey guys, question on sending 2 signals into one channel and how to do it, (if possible.)
Hey guys, question on sending 2 signals into one channel and how to do it, (if possible.)
So I'm working on the birth of a record label that will be releasing old field recordings of local heritage type music. A decade or two ago my boss gave some of those recordings to County Records and they used some of them in a compilation. My boss has the original masters and nothing was signed when he handed over copies of the recordings.
Hello, newby here...
I use a PreSonus Firestudio. I want to record a direct signal from an electric guitar, but also the live (tube)amp sound mic'd up. I don't have a DI or anything, so I've been trying stuff out. I like to record the raw clean sound, so i can always add a digital amp, or send it back to an amp, and re-record it with different settings.
OK, so here is the situation, you have a pedal with a certain echo effect that you use for a particular song right? But, according to Slipperman, you should process time based effects like echo AFTER you have recorded the tone. Is it possible to send the recorded amped tone out through a reamp box then through the pedal in question with the 'magic settings'?
i just bought an 828mkII second hand, and until i get the 896 and a new computer, i'm just going to use the 828 as an a/d converter for all my external preamps and amp simulators. but i can't seem to get the 8 anologue ins to go out the lightpipe out, hmmm, and the module didn't come with a manual either, and MOTU wants me to pay 20 bucks to get a manual. .
I just recently bought a PreSonus inspire GT. I'm very new to the equipment end of recording and am haveing problems.
Hi,
This is the first time, I'm sending a project out to be mastered and I'd like to know the best way to bounce the file. The tracks/mix was done in Pro Tool's LE 7.0.
Is it better to bounce the stereo files using Pro Tool's Bounce to Disc or to use Export Region as a File?
I have lots of outboard gear that I would like to utilize with my DAW.
My question: Is it possible to send an audio signal out of my DAW, into an outboard effect and then back into my DAW? (not using my DAWs main out stereo mix.)
I can think of a couple of ways this could be possible, but is it available now?
I do not know why I can't send PM's anymore, the messages goes automatically in the Outbox folder and nothing is in the Sent Folder, This started several weeks ago?
Anyone? Moderators? Administrator?
Thanks!
Richard
what is the easiest and cheapest way to send a fx send to a guitar fx stompbox, what should I do to match the instrument level, do I absolutely need to buy a reamping box?
thanks
