I could be right or wrong but at present I don't blame Soundcloud or any mp3 for that matter for swirly transients and spacial corruption (stereo compression artifacts) we hear. I think Soundcloud compression (possible any MP3 compression simply exposes (the bad in a mix) more.

There are at least two Performing Rights Societies who are filing law suites against SC for copyright infringement and illegal distribution, one based in the U.K. and one based in the U.S.



If this litigation does go through, it could very well result in the end of Soundcloud...

Soundcloud seems useful as it works on HTML 5 and iPhones, but unless you pay the expensive membership, you can't embed a player into your website (just a bunch of little cloud players), plus the quality of the song is not the best.

The ReverbNation player is great, but it won't work on iOS devices.
